    1. Under Canopy – Glenn: I like the position of your flare in the lower right. Clarity of the woods & trees is spectacular, while you captured the backlight. The flare does not overwhelm the photo. Stunning shot.
    2. Kiss of Sunshine – Kathy. As with Glenn’s, I like the positioning of the flare. The pristine star points of your flare are spectacular. Beautiful.
    3. Fading Sunshine – Kathy. I love the multiple bubble flares. Very interesting, and not overwhelming. Loved that shot.

Michelle … what part of the world do you live in to get the snow & ice in October? Pretty shot.ReplyCancel

    1. Under the Canopy – Glenn, I love the angle of this shot, and having the in the lower right is intriguing. The focus is very sharp. Well done!
    2. Kiss of sunshine – Kathy, really really nice. The flare is like a starburst and just lovely. I think if you had increased your DOF, more of the trees would be in focus.
    3. Wicklow WInter – Michelle, welcome back to the challenge. Nice to have you here again. This is a cool shot…. cold and stormy looking.ReplyCancel

Ok, I’m back from my business trip and here are my votes to close this one out.

    1- Fall Canopy
Jeannie, this is the cliche shot of the path/road through the woods showing off the fall colours. I would have liked to see the road more defined through editing or even clearing some of the leaves.

    2- Fading Sunshine
Kathy, while I thought this was perhaps the best actual example of lens flare (as opposed to making a star burst of the sun with a small aperture), it was not quite the composition I would have liked to see. Good effort though.

    3- Kitty in the Sun
Jeannie, it’s difficult to get decent pics of a black cat, particularly in situations with such high contrast. Well done.ReplyCancel
