Challenge 80 – Long Exposure Water

Welcome to another round of Photo Challenge!
(And sorry for the delay folks. After the summer hiatus I’ll try to get back on track now that summer is coming to a close!)

Challenge set by Kathy Walsh
Submission Deadline: Monday September 15, 2014
Voting Deadline: Wednesday September 24, 2014
Winning Image: Chisolm Mills – Kathy Walsh

Special Instructions

Kathy did not provide any specific instructions for this one, other than it being a technique she wants to try/practise, so why not make it a theme?
I think it’s especially appropriate as we still have a wee bit of summer holiday time! (Plus, this is a technique that I really like, so I’m highly motivated!)

Happy Shooting!

    1. Chisholm Mills – Kathy I liked both your shots but have the same comment for both of them. I’d liked to have seen a little more water (if possible) in your composition. It appears to me that you used a slightly longer shutter speed that I did, but no as long as Glenn’s.
2 Huron Beach 3 – Glenn, I really liked the composition in this one the best of your three. I found the movement of the clouds, while moody, too much for my personal taste and too dominate.

Having so few entries, I only picked 2. Do you need me to choose a third?

I have to admit that, even though we had few participants in this round, the quality of what you produced was excellent!

    1st – Water Stairs
Jeannie, I love what you’ve done with this composition.

    2nd – Chisolm Mills
Kathy, another very well composed image that is pretty simple, but really tells a story.

    3rd – Just a Trickle
Jeannie, I like the moodiness of this, and it tells a story similar to Kathy’s. Very nice.ReplyCancel

Few participants, few votes, but we are well past the deadline.

Winning this round is Kathy Walsh with Chisolm Mills. Well done, Kathy!

Please send me a note with a new theme.ReplyCancel
